Journal History

The name of the journal proposed for submitting the ISSN through issn.pdii.lipi.go.id is Jurnal Elemen, but what was published in the decree (SK) was the Jurnal Elemen of the STKIP Mathematics Education Program of Hamzanwadi Selong as the PDII LIPI party referred to the header on this journal page at the time of submission. However, we agree that to make it easier for readers and authors, this journal is abbreviated as Jurnal Elemen.

Jurnal Elemen retained eISSN (2442-4226) from PDII LIPI with Decree No. 0005.206 / JI.3.2 / SK.ISSN / 2015.02. Jurnal Elemen first published an article in Vol. 1, No. 1 January 2015. Jurnal Elemen Vol. 1 No. 1 to Vol. 2 No. 2 was published by STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong. However, after the issuance of Menristekdikti No. 428 / KPT / I / 2016 on September 23 2016 concerning the merger of STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong and STT Hamzanwadi into Universitas Hamzanwadi, since Vol. 3 No. 1, January 2017, Jurnal Elemen was published by Universitas Hamzanwadi.

Jurnal Elemen has been indexed by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) since 10 May 2017. Furthermore, Jurnal Elemen has been indexed by Crossref since 2 February 2018. Furthermore, there are a number of more indexers that have indexed Jurnal Elemen, the complete list can be seen here. The writing guidelines and article templates were revised twice: on 6 February 2018 and 26 November 2021. The second version of author guidelines and article template was first applied to articles to be published in Vol. 4 No. 2 to Vol. 7 No. 2. Since Vol. 8 No. 1, the newest author guidelines and article template are used. 

Jurnal Elemen is one of the recipients of the 2018 Electronic Journal Management/Governance Assistance Grant from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education based on the announcement of the selection results in No. 600 / E5.2 / SE / 2018 on 14 March 2018.

Since 10 December 2018, Jurnal Elemen has become one of the ACCREDITED journals indexed 3 based on the Decree of the Director-General of Research and Development Strengthening of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education No. 34/E/KPT/2018 concerning the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals Period III of 2018 which was set on 10 December 2018. The validity period of Jurnal Elemen accreditation started from 10 December 2018 to 10 December 2023.

On 5 September 2019, Jurnal Elemen applied for re-accreditation. On behalf of the name of God, on 11 November 2019, a Decree of the General Director for Strengthening Research and Development of Kemenristekdikti No. 30/E/KPT/2019 concerning the Ranking of Scientific Journal Accreditation Period VI of 2019 stated that the re-accredited Jurnal Elemen has been upgraded to RANK 2 (SINTA 2). This decision was valid from Vol. 5 No. 2 2019 to Vol. 10 No. 2 2024.

Since Vol. 7 No. 1, articles were published in Bahasa and English, whereas previous issues are only in Bahasa. Now, since Vol. 8 No. 1, all papers should be in English.
