CrossMark Policy
Starting from Vol. 8 No. 1, all articles receive a DOI and are permanently published. Clicking on the CrossMark logo (at the top-right of each Jurnal Elemen PDF article) will give you the current status of an article and direct you to the latest published version.
Authors can revise, change and update their articles by publishing new versions, which are added to the article’s history; however, the individual versions, once published, cannot be altered or withdrawn and are permanently available on the Jurnal Elemen website. Jurnal Elemen participates in the CrossMark scheme, a multi-publisher initiative that has developed a standard way for readers to locate the current version of an article. By applying the CrossMark policies, Jurnal Elemen is committed to maintaining the content it publishes and to alerting readers to changes if and when they occur.
In order to maintain the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record, the following policies will be applied when published content needs to be corrected:
- Addendum: Publication item giving additional information regarding another publication item, mostly presenting additional results.
- Duplicate: Accidental duplication of an article in another journal. The text of the article is retracted. The HTML pages are replaced by a single page with citation details and an explanation. The PDF pages remain with a watermark on every page to notify it is a duplicate.
- Erratum: Article in which errors are reported that were made in an earlier publication in the same journal. It can be Erratum (publishing error) but also Corrigendum (author error).
- Removal: The text of the article is removed. The HTML pages and PDF pages of the article are completely removed and replaced by a single page with citation details and an explanation.
- Retraction: The text of the article is retracted. The HTML pages are replaced by a single page with citation details and an explanation. The PDF pages remain with a watermark on every page to notify it is retracted.
