Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Transformasional dan Trust Building Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan dengan Kepuasan Kerja sebagai Variabel Mediasi

This study aims to analyze and explain the influence of transformational leadership and trust building on employee performance at BRI Bau-Bau Branch mediated by job satisfaction. The research approach is a survey with an explanatory research design. Data collection was carried out cross-sectionally using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The population of this study was all employees of BRI Bau-Bau Branch totaling 167 people. The sampling method in this study used the Slovin formula with a precision of 10% using the stratified proportional random sampling technique, so that the number of samples was 63 people. The analysis method used to test the hypothesis of this study is Partial least square (PLS). The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Then trust building had a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. Transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, trust building had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction has been proven to mediate the influence between transformational leadership and trust building on employee performance. This study can be concluded that transformational leadership has a direct and indirect effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that transformational leadership needs to be developed, building trust through open and fair communication, and creating a comfortable work environment with consistent policies that support productivity.
