Focus and Scope

SeBaSa: Indonesian Journal of Language and Literature Education is a scientific periodical published by Hamzanwadi University. 
 
SeBaSa is a forum for indonesian language and literature researchers, lecturers and observers to publish their research results in the fields of language, education, literature, linguistics and teaching. The articles published are the results of research, theoretical concepts and thoughts that offer new value. Journals are published every two years, namely May and November each year.

Scope of SeBaSa: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education: Phonology Morphology Syntax Discourse Semantics Sociolinguistics Psycholinguistic Pragmatics Semiotic  Sociology of Literature Literary Psychology Literary Criticism Bandingan Literature Evaluation of Indonesian Language and Literature Learning; etc.

Peer Review Process

The review process in the journal SeBaSa: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education is carried out by involving authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers. The incoming manuscript is first checked by the editor. If the article meets the focus and scope and writing guidelines (according to the template) that are appropriate, it will be sent to the editor section after it is declared feasible, then the manuscript will be submitted to the reviewer to be assessed for the content / substance and novelty of the manuscript findings.

If the manuscript does not meet the template, it will automatically be rejected by the editor before being sent to the editor section. Each manuscript will be examined by a maximum of two reviewers (blind reviewers) for 8 weeks with the criteria for manuscript assessment as stated on the assessment form for reviewers.

 

Publication Frequency

SeBaSa: Indonesian Journal of Language and Literature Education is published twice a year, namely MEI and NOVEMBER.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Publication Ethic

Ethical Guidelines for Publication of SeBaSa Journal

The publication of an article in The Journal of SeBaSa is an important building in the development of a coherent and recognized knowledge network. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the author's work and the institutions that support them. The reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. Therefore, it is important to agree on the expected standards of ethical conduct for all parties involved in the act of publishing: authors, journal editors, bestari partners, publishers, and the public.

Hamzanwadi University as the publisher of SeBaSa Journal takes the task of maintaining all stages of publishing very seriously and we are aware of our ethics and other responsibilities. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprinting, or other commercial revenue does not impact or influence editorial decisions. In addition, Hamzanwadi University and the Editorial Board will assist in communication with other journals and/or publishers, which is useful and necessary.

Publication Decision

 The editor of SeBaSa Journal is responsible for deciding which sent articles to publish. Validation of such work and its importance to researchers and readers should always drive those decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and limited by applicable legal provisions, such as defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. Editors can confer with other editors or bestari partners in making this decision.

Aspects of Justice

Editors at all times evaluate the manuscript for the intellectual content of the author regardless of the race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political views of the authors.

Concealment

The editor and any editorial staff shall not disclose any information about the manuscript sent to anyone other than the author, reviewer, prospective reviewer, other appropriate editorial board, and publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Unpublished material in a submitted manuscript should not be used in the editor's own research without the author's written consent.

Reviewer Task

Contributions to Editorial Decisions

Bestari partners assist editors in making editorial decisions and can assist authors in improving the quality of manuscripts through editors.

Speed

Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified/interested in reviewing the manuscript or does not have enough time to study should immediately notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

Concealment

Any manuscript accepted for review should be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts should not be distributed or discussed with others unless permitted by the editor.

Objectivity Standards

The review should be done objectively. Personal criticism from the author is inappropriate to convey. Reviewers should state their views clearly with supportive arguments.

Source Recognition

Reviewers must identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the author. A statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been reported in advance must be accompanied by a relevant citation. Reviewers should also declare to the editor if there are substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under consideration and any other articles published.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Information or ideas obtained in the review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should reject manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest resulting from competition, collaboration, or other relationships and connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions related to the manuscript.

Author's Task

Reporting Standards

The author of the original research report should present an accurate report of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of the significance of his research. The underlying data must be accurately included in the manuscript. A manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to imitate the work. Reports of fraud or intentionally providing inaccurate information constitute unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Data Access and Retention

Authors are required to provide raw data related to manuscripts for editorial, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, where possible, and should in any case be able to retain such data after publication.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that they have written a completely original work, and if the author has used the work and/or words of others, then this has been appropriately cited.

Dual, Redundant and Concurrent Publications

An author may not publish a manuscript that lays out the essence of the same research in more than one major journal or publication. Sending the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.

Source Recognition

Proper recognition of the work of others should always be given. The author should cite publications that have been influential in determining from the work he reports.

The Author's Manuscript Author's List
should be limited only to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the reported research. All persons who have made a significant contribution should be listed as an aide author. Other persons or parties who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or registered as contributors. The author of the correspondence shall ensure that all appropriate authors are listed in the manuscript and that no authors are unsuitable, and that all authors have seen and agreed to the final version of the paper and have agreed to submit for publication.

Hazards and Human or Animal

Subjects If the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have unusual dangers inherent in their use, the author should clearly identify this in the manuscript.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose in their manuscript any conflicts of interest either substantive or financial that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When an author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the work he publishes, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.

 

 

Plagiarism Checker

Article Writing Code of Ethics

  1. The author is responsible for the overall content of the article which includes methods, analysis, calculations and details.
  2. The author immediately responds to comments made by peer review professionally and in a timely manner.
  3. Authors should inform editors if they retract their paper.
  4. The authors describe limitations in this study.
  5. The author respects the publisher if the submitted writing, for one reason or another, is not published.
  6. The author informs the paper editor who is part of a phased, multidisciplinary research and different perspectives.
  7. The author makes a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of submitting it to another publisher.
  8. If there is an error in the paper, the author must notify the editor or publisher immediately.
  9. The use of material from other publications that are copyrighted, must be given written permission and gratitude.
  10. The author refers to the work of others who are appropriately quoted and citations used in the paper.
  11. When delivering new discoveries or improving discoveries, the author should mention the previous work, researcher/author/founder.
  12. Authors are not allowed to provide a bibliography of the publication if they do not read the publication.
  13. If requested, the authors prepare evidence that the research has met the ethical requirements of the research including field notes.
  14. The author responds if there are comments or feedback after the paper is published.

Plagiarism Policy

Which are included in plagiarism as follows:

  1. Refer to and/or quote terms, words and/or sentences, data or information from sources without citing sources in citation records and/or without adequately stating the source.
  2. Refer to or quote random terms, words or sentences and information from sources without citing the source in the citation record or without adequately stating the source.
  3. Use ideas, opinions, views or theories without adequately stating the source.
  4. Formulate your own words or sentences from the source of words or phrases, ideas, opinions, views, or theories without adequately stating the source.
  5. Submit scientific works produced or published by others as a source of scientific work without adequate disclosure.

Plagiarism Checking

The editor checks plagiarism 2 times, namely:

  1. Submission process: The article is checked using Plagiarism Checker X after the author submits the article and before the article is reviewed by the reviewer.
  2. Before publication: The article is checked again using iThenticate after the article is declared worthy of publication and done before the article is published.

Penalty

If the author is proven to duplicate, fabricate, falsify, plagiarism, or publish one manuscript in two or more different journals then the author is sanctioned in the form of revocation of articles, cancellation of publications, authors become black-list of Jurnal SeBaSa: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education.

 

 

Author Fee

-Article Processing Charge Rp.500.000,-

Publication Fees are transferred after the article is declared graduated and eligible to be published by Jurnal SeBaSa: Journal of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Hamzanwadi University.
