Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the survival time against flood disasters in the east Lombok region for the period 2021-2023 using a one-parameter exponential distribution model and the type-II censoring method. Flooding is one of the most common natural disasters in this area, affecting both the community and infrastructure. In this research, the waiting time for flood events is analyzed using a statistical approach to estimate the survival time of the population against flooding events. The data used in this study comes from records of flood occurrences in East Lombok, which are type-II censored to address the limitations of observation during a specified period. The analysis is performed by calculating the survival function, which represents the probability of flood occurrence over a certain period. The results of this study are expected to provide a clearer understanding of flood occurrence patterns and contribute to disaster mitigation planning and policy-making for community protection. These findings also offer valuable insights for policymakers in designing more effective disaster management strategies in flood-prone areas.
