Studi Tentang Efektivitas Metode Pembelajaran Square Terhadap Peningkatan Daya Tahan Aerobik untuk Mencegah Cedera dan Mengembangkan Teknik Dasar Bola Voli

This study was motivated by the high risk of injury among students due to low aerobic endurance in sports activities such as volleyball, where early fatigue can reduce technique and increase the potential for injury. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the square training method in improving the aerobic endurance of students at Blora State High School 1 in order to support injury prevention and the development of basic volleyball techniques. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 30 eleventh-grade students who were randomly divided into an experimental group (receiving square training for 6 weeks, 3 times per week) and a control group (routine activities). Aerobic endurance was measured using the Cooper 12-minute run test. The data were analyzed using a paired t-test. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group, with an average distance increase of 0.44 km (from 1.88 km to 2.32 km), while the control group only increased by 0.01 km (from 1.89 km to 1.90 km). The t-test results showed a significant difference (p = 0.000). In conclusion, the square training method is effective in improving students' aerobic endurance and can be recommended as part of a physical education program to support performance and mitigate injuries in volleyball.
