Pengaruh Latihan Resistance Band dan Plyometric Terhadap Jump Service Pemain Voli Muda Putri Barengko

The offensive jump serve ability of young female volleyball players at Barengko is still low. This is thought to be due to a lack of training specifically aimed at developing explosive power, which is a key component of this technique. This study aims to analyze the effect of resistance band and plyometric training on improving jump serve ability, as well as to determine the difference in effectiveness between the two training methods. The method used is a quantitative experiment with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 16 female athletes divided into two groups. The research instrument was a jump serve test to a target value. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that both resistance band and plyometric training significantly improved jump serve ability. The resistance band group experienced an average increase from 4.88 to 10.00, while the plyometric group increased from 5.00 to 9.25. The independent sample t-test (sig. 0.049) proved that resistance band training was significantly more effective than plyometric training. It was concluded that resistance band training contributed more to improving the jump serve ability of young female volleyball players at Barengko.
