Abstract

The problem in this study is the low mastery of underhand passing techniques in volleyball among 11th grade social studies students at SMAN 1 Batu Putih. Initial observations show that only 21.43% of students achieved the minimum passing grade (KKM), presumably due to conventional teaching methods and the lack of audio-visual media. The purpose of this study was to improve learning outcomes in underhand passing in volleyball through the use of animation-based instructional videos. The method or type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles. There were 28 students in the study. Data collection techniques included observation, performance tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes. The percentage of classical mastery increased from 57.14% (16 students) in Cycle I to 89.28% (25 students) in Cycle II. Animated videos proved to be able to stimulate enthusiasm and make it easier for students to visualize and practice the correct movement techniques. It was concluded that animation-based learning videos were effective in improving the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand passing skills in students.
