Abstract

The low level of physical activity among Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students in Central Lombok Regency is a youth health issue that needs to be addressed. Psychosocial factors such as family support, motivation, interest, and self-efficacy are strongly suspected to influence their participation in daily physical activity. This study aims to analyze the relationship and contribution of these four variables to the physical activity of MA students. The method used is quantitative correlational with a purposive sample of 99 students. Data collection uses a validated questionnaire analyzed with Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that family support, motivation, and self-efficacy had a significant positive relationship with physical activity, while interest showed a significant negative correlation. In the regression analysis, only interest and self-efficacy had a significant partial effect, with the regression model explaining 23.7% of the variation in physical activity. The study concluded that self-efficacy is a key factor determining participation in physical activity, while high interest is not actualized into active behavior due to external barriers. The implications of the study emphasize the importance of holistic strategies that combine strengthening self-efficacy with creating a supportive environment to realize interest into real action.
