Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis Outcome Based Education untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Lulusan pada Mata Kuliah Metode Melatih Teknik & Taktik Tenis Lapangan

Many coaches come from non-formal backgrounds with limited methodological understanding, which has an impact on the stagnation of athletes' achievements. This study aims to develop teaching materials based on Outcome Based Education (OBE) for the course Methods of Coaching Tennis Techniques & Tactics in order to improve the competence of prospective coaches. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method by integrating the Borg & Gall and Dick & Carey models, involving 84 students and 4 experts as validators. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, tests, and validation sheets, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Expert validation results showed that the teaching materials were 90.65% feasible (highly valid), user response was 98.4% (very interesting), and effectiveness tests showed a significant increase in learning outcomes (p < 0.001) with a large effect (Cohen's d = 2.35). The research conclusion shows that the OBE-based teaching materials developed are proven to be valid, interesting, and effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and practical skills, thereby having the potential to improve the quality of graduates of sports coaching study programs, especially tennis, and support the improvement of Indonesian tennis achievements at the national and international levels.
