Abstract

The problem in this study is the low endurance of futsal players at Persipare FC Lombok Utara, characterized by fatigue at the end of matches and an average VO2Max of players in the moderate category (37.97 ml/kg/min). This study aims to determine the effect of continuous running training on increasing VO2Max of futsal players at Persipare FC Lombok Utara in 2026. This research uses a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population consists of 15 players and the sample was taken using total sampling technique. The instrument used was the bleep test (multistage fitness test). Continuous running training was given for 6 weeks with an intensity of 70-80% HRmax, frequency of 3 times/week, and progressive duration of 20-30 minutes. Data analysis used Shapiro-Wilk normality test and paired sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the average VO2Max increased from 37.97 ml/kg/min at pretest to 38.36 ml/kg/min at posttest, with 8 out of 15 players (53.3%) experiencing improvement. The statistical test results with all subjects showed t-count (0.305) < t-table (1.761), but when outlier data was excluded, t-count (4.151) > t-table (1.771). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of continuous running training on increasing VO2Max of futsal players at Persipare FC Lombok Utara in 2026.
