This study aims to examine the effect of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Snowball Throwing Learning Model and the utilization of Canva as a learning medium on students' knowledge learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS) among eighth-grade students at SMPN Sukorambi. The study was motivated by the relatively low level of students' knowledge achievement and the need for innovative learning approaches that integrate active learning models with digital technology in teaching the topic of Age of Exploration, Colonialism, and Imperialism. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students of SMPN Sukorambi in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample comprised two classes: Class VIII A as the experimental group, which was taught using the AI-Based Snowball Throwing Learning Model supported by Canva, and Class VIII B as the control group, which received conventional instruction. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, questionnaires on Canva utilization, classroom observations, and documentation. The research instruments met the validity and reliability requirements, with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.912, indicating a very high level of reliability. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics, including validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, homogeneity testing, heteroscedasticity testing, multicollinearity testing, linearity testing, multiple linear regression analysis, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings revealed that all research instruments were valid and reliable. The classical assumption tests indicated that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, free from heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity, and met the linearity assumption. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that the AI-Based Snowball Throwing Learning Model and the use of Canva had a positive and significant effect on students' knowledge learning outcomes. Furthermore, the F-test showed that both independent variables simultaneously had a significant effect on the dependent variable, while the coefficient of determination (R²) indicated that these variables explained a substantial proportion of the variance in students' knowledge learning outcomes. In addition, the experimental class achieved a higher mean posttest score than the control class, indicating that the implementation of the AI-Based Snowball Throwing Learning Model integrated with Canva was more effective than conventional teaching methods. In conclusion, the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Snowball Throwing Learning Model integrated with Canva significantly improves students' knowledge learning outcomes in the topic of Age of Exploration, Colonialism, and Imperialism among eighth-grade students at SMPN Sukorambi. These findings are expected to provide educators with an innovative instructional alternative that supports interactive, student-centered learning while promoting the competencies required for the twenty-first century and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
