Jurnal Humanitas: Katalisator Perubahan dan Inovator Pendidikan has received ISSN 2407-4411 since 2014 with Decree Number: 0005.314/JI.3.2/SK.ISSN/2014.1, published from Vol. 1 No. December 1, 2014. In 2015 ISSN Online 2502-406X was resubmitted, approved by Decree Number: 0005.2502406X/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2016.02 dated February 12, 2016. Jurnal Humanitas: Katalisator Perubahan dan Inovator Pendidikan is the journal's name proposed in both the print and online editions.

In the ISSN, both printed and online, it is written that the journal manager is the Department of Social Sciences Education STKIP Hamzanwadi and published by the Department of Social Sciences Education STKIP Hamzanwadi. After STKIP Hamzanwadi and STT Hamzanwadi merged into Hamzanwadi University, there was a change in the management of the Jurnal Humanitas, where the journal manager and publisher were held by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, Universitas Hamzanwadi.

Jurnal Humanitas first published an article in Vol. 1 No. December 1, 2014, still in the printing process, and management stagnation. Jurnal Humanitas published again in Vol. 5 No. December 1, 2018. As part of reasonable journal management efforts to improve the quality of management and articles in the Jurnal Humanitas, a policy has been taken to manage journals with consistent publications in each volume and number.

The management has revised the guidelines for article script writing templates for authors. Some of the revised things include writing systematics, templates, minimum references that must be referred to, the number of pages of article manuscripts, and others. This policy applies to publishing articles in Vol. 8 No. 1, December 2021, and beyond. This journal has been accredited Rank 5 (SINTA 5) through the Decree of the Director-General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 105/E/KPT/2022 about the Academic Journal Accreditation Rating Period I Year 2022.

Starting in 2024, the frequency of publishing articles in the Jurnal Humanitas will change from 2 to 4 times a year, namely in March, June, September, and December. This change was made after receiving approval from the Director of the National Center for ISSN Indonesia, BRIN.
