CrossMark Policy

Starting from Volume 8 Number 1, all articles receive a DOI and are permanently published. Clicking on the CrossMark logo (at the top-right of each Jurnal Humanitas PDF article) will give you the current status of an article and direct you to the latest published version.

CrossMark, a multi-publisher initiative from CrossRef, provides a standard way for readers to locate the authoritative version of a document. Elsevier recognizes the importance of the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record to researchers and librarians and attaches the highest importance to maintaining trust in the authority of its electronic archive. Clicking on the CrossMark icon will inform the reader of the current status of a document and may also provide additional publication record information about the document. To maintain the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record, the following policies will be applied when published content needs to be corrected:

  1. Addendum: Publication item giving additional information regarding another publication item, mostly presenting additional results.
  2. Duplicate: Accidental duplication of an article in another journal. A single page replaces the HTML pages with citation details and an explanation. The text of the article is retracted. The PDF pages remain with a watermark on every page to notify it is a duplicate.
  3. Erratum: Article in which errors are reported made in an earlier publication in the same journal. It can be Erratum (publishing error) and Corrigendum (author error).
  4. Removal: The text of the article is removed. The article’s HTML and PDF pages are removed and replaced by a single page with citation details and an explanation.
  5. Retraction: The text of the article is retracted. A single page replaces the HTML pages with citation details and an explanation. The PDF pages remain with a watermark on every page to notify that it has been retracted.
