Analisis Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Program Probebaya melalui Pelatihan Komputer di LKP Cendana Kota Samarinda

The development of digital technology requires individuals to possess computer skills as essential competencies in the workplace and daily life. Limited digital skills are one of the reasons for the need for community empowerment efforts through the Community Development and Empowerment Program (Probebaya), implemented by the Samarinda City Government in collaboration with LKP Cendana. This study aims to analyze the community empowerment process through computer training at LKP Cendana, Samarinda City. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The informants consisted of LKP Cendana administrators, instructors, training participants, and the person in charge of the Probebaya Program. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that the empowerment process took place through three stages: awareness, capacity building, and empowerment. The awareness stage was carried out through tiered socialization and community deliberations that fostered public understanding and participation. The capacity-building stage was implemented through six computer training sessions covering Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, using demonstrations, hands-on practice, instructor assistance, and learning facility support. The empowerment stage was demonstrated by the participants’ ability to complete tasks more independently, operate Microsoft Office, and utilize the skills they had acquired. These findings indicate that computer training within the Probebaya Program plays a role in enhancing participants’ digital capacity and independence.
