Pengaruh peran orang tua dan teman sebaya Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Karya Dharma Bhakti Palembang Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Buddha

Learning motivation is an important factor in successful learning. Students’ learning motivation can be influenced by various factors, including parental roles and peer relationships. This study aimed to analyze the effects of parental roles and peers on the learning motivation of eighth-grade students in Buddhist Religious Education at SMP Karya Dharma Bhakti Palembang, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method and multiple linear regression analysis. The population consisted of 50 students, all of whom were included as the sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 21. The results showed that parental roles had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation. Peers also had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation. Simultaneously, parental roles and peers had a significant effect on students’ learning motivation, with an F-value of 12.019 and a significance level of p < 0.001. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.310 indicated that the two variables jointly contributed 31.0% to the variation in students’ learning motivation, while the remaining 69.0% was influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings indicate that parental roles and peers contribute to supporting the improvement of learning motivation among eighth-grade students at SMP Karya Dharma Bhakti Palembang in Buddhist Religious Education.
