Abstract

This article outlines a view of the origins of language according to Hegel's dialectical perspective. This stems from the author's understanding of Hegel's concept which states that the substance of the mind originates from the spirit. This article explains that history originates from a spirit that introduces itself through thought and intuition. In this context, the activity of speaking has higher value than the written word; and listening activities have higher meaning than reading activities. Therefore, intelligence-linguistics crosses historical and cultural periods, developing from the free movement and power of the mind. Researchers use four stages of the historical method, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. This article uses Hegel's dialectical theory with a historical philosophy approach. This research aims to interpret Hegel's dialectical logic and philosophical ideas in understanding the emergence of language, as a linguistic interaction. The results of this research show that, by utilizing dialectical and intuitive logic, one can hear the intuitive phenomenon of the existence of language features such as utterances, words and abstract phonemes. On that basis, someone is able to explain and express verbal or linguistic expressions flexibly in a concrete discourse event. On this basis, someone is able to think epistemologically and linguistically.
