Peer Review Process

Tamumatra: Jurnal Seni Pertunjukan publishes original scholarly articles that meet the Copyright policy. The review process involves authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers.

Editorial Screening

The editor first checks each submission against the journal’s scope and author guidelines. Manuscripts that meet these requirements proceed to peer review; others are returned to the authors.

Independent Peer Review

Each manuscript that passes editorial screening is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise who are not members of the journal’s editorial team. This requirement applies to research articles and analytical or critical studies. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s content and novelty using the journal’s Article Assessment Form. The review period is normally six weeks.

Double-Anonymous Review

The journal uses double-anonymous (double-blind) peer review: the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process to support an objective and impartial assessment.

Preparing an Anonymous Review Copy

Remove author names, affiliations, identifying acknowledgements, and identifying information in the document properties from the version prepared for review. Provide author names and affiliations in the submission metadata separately from the anonymous review copy.

Time from Submission to Publication

The average time from manuscript submission to publication is 12 weeks. This includes the editorial and review stages and is distinct from the six-week review period. It is an average, not a guarantee for an individual manuscript.
