LEKSIKON ETNOMEDISIN PADA PENGOBATAN PENYAKIT TROPIS SUKU DAYAK LUNDAYEH

Abstract

This study aims to document and analyze the vocabulary used by the Dayak Lundayeh Tribe in the North Kalimantan region in the traditional treatment of tropical diseases and how to process them using descriptive methods through a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in three working steps, namely the data provision stage, the data analysis stage, and the stage of presenting the results of data analysis. The data collection technique was carried out using two methods, namely the listening method and note-taking technique. The results of this study found that there are 21 lexicons with 19 medicinal plant lexicons and 2 animal lexicons for the treatment of tropical diseases with seven tropical diseases including malaria, dengue fever tuberculosis (TB), worms, elephantiasis, and tinea versicolor. As well as nine lexicons of medicinal plant processing, namely by soaking (mepu'), burning (dimeseb), cutting (dimeteb), watering (mufur), boiling (manek), pounding (dimopeh), filtering (dinetih), drying (dimering), and applying (melusi).
