Korelasi Antara Aspek Kognitif, Sosial-Emosional, Dan Perilaku Dengan Keterampilan Motorik Halus (Menulis) Pada Anak (Studi Berdasarkan Data Skrining Dan Deteksi Dini)
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the correlation between cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral aspects (from early detection data) and fine motor skill barriers (writing) in children identified with special needs (from screening data). Methods: This research uses a quantitative case study approach. The subject is a 12-year-old 6th-grade elementary school student (AR) identified as having writing difficulties. Data were collected using the General Screening instrument for Special Needs Children and Multi-Aspect Early Detection (Cognitive, Emotional, Social, Behavioral). Data analysis was conducted descriptively quantitatively to map scores and correlationally-descriptively to discuss the relationships between variables. Findings: It was found that the subject had a good general cognitive score (Final Score: 1.2 - TPP), but showed a specific barrier on the item "Difficulty in writing" (Score: 4 - Often). This barrier correlates with findings in other aspects: emotional (e.g., "Shy" [SR], "Easily feels guilty" [SR]), social (e.g., "Dependent on others' help" [KD]), and behavioral (e.g., "Restless while sitting" [KD]). Screening data also confirmed "Dislikes writing" (Yes). Conclusion: There is a strong indication of a correlation between specific writing barriers and socio-emotional and behavioral factors, even though the subject's general cognitive abilities are in the good category. Fine motor (writing) barriers do not stand alone but are closely related to aspects of anxiety, shyness, and restlessness.
