About the Journal

Tamumatra: Jurnal Seni Pertunjukan (e-ISSN: 2621-7244) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Universitas Hamzanwadi, Indonesia. The journal publishes original research articles and analytical or critical studies in arts education and the performing arts, particularly drama, dance, and music. Its scope includes artistic creation, performance practice, arts teaching and learning, practice-based research, and the cultural, social, and historical contexts of the performing arts.

The journal is published twice a year, in June and December, and accepts manuscripts in Indonesian or English. Submissions must meet the journal’s originality requirements and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening undergo double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers who are not members of the journal’s editorial team. The review period is normally six weeks, while the average time from submission to publication is twelve weeks.

All published articles are freely available immediately upon publication, without an embargo, subscription, payment, or reader registration. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.

The journal charges an article processing charge of IDR 300,000 per article. There is no submission fee or additional author charge. APC waivers and discounts are not available.

Tamumatra received SINTA Rank 5 accreditation under Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024, dated 15 October 2024. The Accreditation Certificate specifies coverage from Volume 4, Issue 1 (2021) through Volume 8, Issue 2 (2025).
