AI Usage Policy
Tamumatra: Jurnal Seni Pertunjukan is committed to transparency and academic integrity in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) throughout the submission, peer-review, and editorial process.
1. Disclosure by Authors
Authors must disclose any use of AI or AI-assisted technologies (e.g., generative AI, large language models) in writing, data analysis, or preparing the manuscript, including which tool was used and for what purpose. AI tools cannot be listed as an author or co-author, since they cannot take responsibility for the content, originality, or integrity of the work.
2. Use by the Editorial Team
Editors may use AI tools for administrative or technical support (e.g., language or formatting checks), but AI cannot replace scholarly judgment or editorial decision-making. Any use of AI by the editorial team in evaluating a manuscript's academic merit must be disclosed and remains the editor's full responsibility.
3. Prohibition for Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewers (Mitra Bestari) are strictly prohibited from using AI to analyze, evaluate, or draft review comments for a manuscript under review, including uploading the manuscript or any part of it into an AI application. This protects the confidentiality of the peer-review process and the intellectual property of the authors.
4. Accountability
Regardless of any AI assistance used, Authors and the Editorial Team remain fully responsible for the originality, confidentiality, and integrity of the manuscript, and for any editorial decisions made. AI cannot be used as a substitute for scientific judgment or the editorial decision-making process.
