Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy

Voices of English Language Education Society (VELES) is committed to open access publishing, ensuring that every article is freely and immediately accessible worldwide. To sustain this model and cover essential costs such as peer review management, editorial processing, online hosting, and long-term archiving, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to all accepted manuscripts.

APCs are billed only after a manuscript has been formally accepted. The fee is set at IDR 1,500,000 for domestic (Indonesian) authors. For international contributors, the first foreign corresponding author receives a full waiver, while any subsequent foreign authors are subject to the standard APC. There are no submission charges at any stage, and no additional waivers or discounts are provided.

The APC policy is entirely independent of editorial and peer review processes. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on academic merit, without regard to authors’ financial capacity. Oversight of transparency, sustainability, and compliance with ethical publishing standards is regularly conducted by the Publication Unit (P3MP) at Universitas Hamzanwadi.

Policy updates: This APC policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated to reflect changes in publishing standards, operational costs, or institutional regulations. Any revisions will be announced on the official VELES website, and the version published online at the time of submission will apply to each manuscript.
